December 7, 2017 – Officer Donald Kimbrough succumbed to complications due to gunshot wounds he suffered in 1972 while confronting suspects involved in an armed robbery. He is survived by his son.
Officer Andrew Camilleri, 33
California Highway Patrol
December 24, 2017 – Officer Andrew Camilleri was killed when a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed struck the rear of his parked patrol car. He is survived by his wife, daughter, two sons, parents, brother, and sister.
