The Graveyard Shift expresses our condolences to the families of these brave officers.

Officer Jeremiah M. Goodson, Jr., 32

Lumberton North Carolina Police Department

July 17, 2012 – Officer Jeremiah Goodson was shot and killed as he and another officer attempted to arrest an ex-convict who was wanted on outstanding warrants. They man opened fire as the officers approached. Officer Goodson is survived by his expectant wife and one child.

Correctional Officer Nikkii Bostic-Jones, 38

Cook County Illinois Sheriff’s Office

July 18, 2012 – Officer Nikkii Bostic-Jones was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking from the sheriff’s office parking lot to the county jail.

She is survived by her husband, 6-year-old daughter, and six siblings.

Border Patrol Agent James R. Dominguez, 41

Department of Homeland Security – Border Patrol

Border Patrol Agent James Dominguez was struck and killed by a vehicle while assisting a disabled motorist on a highway near Cline, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, son, three daughters, his father (a retired Border Patrol Agent), and brother who also works as a border patrol agent.
